First New Year’s Eve with our sweet little man.
I rang in the New Year with a grateful spirit and a full heart, also with bigger eyebags from lack of sleep- but our little one is totally worth losing sleep over.
We welcomed our baby boy before Christmas! He is the best Christmas present we could ever receive. My estimated due date was Christmas Day but our prince charming decided to come out before that. I felt that my pregnancy happened so fast! Time really flies when you’re going to the bathroom all the time! I was blessed with a smooth and healthy pregnancy and delivery. My husband was by my side the entire time and was the best cheerleader, giving me much needed support and a lot of attention.
Being first time parents, we had a lot of learning and adjusting to do. But we are lucky to have a good support system. We wouldn’t have done it without our families and friends.
We did a lot of reading and researching to be prepared but we never really felt that we were 100% ready to be parents. It was exciting and kind of scary at the same time. We didn’t attend any Birth Class, we just watched videos online. We also received helpful information and expert pieces of advice from our siblings who are awesome parents to their kids!

Right now, we are enjoying every single moment with our little guy! We’ve been forewarned that they grow up so fast, so we want to breathe in as much of his sweetness and cuteness as possible!

Aww look at him in that cozy little onesie and hat! What they say is so true, they really do grow up before your eyes so YES soak it all in!!! They’re only that tiny for a short while but you never let go of how small and precious they are… even when they become teenagers LOL They still have that sweetness to them (in your own eyes at least haha). You’re such a beautiful family and so young!! Soak it in sweetie and love every moment!

That little bundle of cuteness does make the perfect Christmas gift 🙂 Motherhood agrees with you, girl! Work it!! LOL I pray you really enjoy these moments. You’re ready for this, you can do this and you have a great husband to support you. You got this!

You didn’t go to any classes, just attended YouTube university huh? LOL that’s what my boyfriend always says anytime I learn something from watching videos – he says I went to YouTube university lol It’s cute. Looks like that’s all you needed coz there’s info on just about anything these days. You could’ve probably done the whole birth at home if you wanted to 😉 I don’t know if I’d go that far… Anyway, congrats!! Cute baby!
What a handsome little man he is already!! I’m so happy for you, girl! You have a beautiful family there. WOW you didn’t go to any classes on your first try? Kudos! I don’t know what I would have done without my lamaze class, but I’m proud of you. That’s really good! Oh yes I’d love to hear more about your journey through pregnancy and motherhood! Is it what you’ve expected? There were a few bumps in the road for me but I’d do it all over again if I could. That’s the thing about us – we’re built to be tough even if the fellas don’t know it yet! Haha well happy new year beautiful!
Congratulations! You got to open your best Christmas present early, and now you’ve got a whole new year ahead of you with all of those exhausting challenges but beautiful joys. He’s absolutely beautiful, and I’m glad you have such a supportive husband to help out!
That really is such a wonderful blessing and Christmas present! I really want a December baby as well so we’re trying to get the timing right but honestly, I’m not going to be really picky, I mean you really can’t be. I’m ready to have a great excuse to go to bed early on new years.
So we are planning on starting to try to have a baby in the next few months so that means I might have a baby before New Years next year. I live near a bunch of noisy neighbors who like to shoot off fireworks and yell during this time and I’m worried it might scare my little one. Did you ever have this problem and how did you fix it?
Aww, look at that little face! He’s already mastered the sideways glance that will drive girls crazy. I just love newborns, and I’m looking forward to all of your updates!
What a supportive husband! My niece was born a couple of months ago and I have been with them the entire process, I have seen love, fear, insecurity, the first diaper, the first bath, everything is scary, babies look so delicate. Now, they are going to their normal work schedule again, so it will be my job to take care of her (now I am the scared one) looking forward for more post to help me with this beautiful task I’ve got!

I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed since my baby was born, I’m glad you have a really supportive husband, any tip about how to motivate mine to help me more? He seems so scared about it!

No matter how many hours of sleep you are missing, or any eyebags you think you have, as a mom you look more beautiful than ever! That tiny human being has a lot to be grateful to you, I can already tell you have so much love to give!
Don’t be silly, I don’t see any eyebags (but I’m sure you have lack of sleep just as me) I just see pure love in the pictures! The hat looks so adorable!
